I’m going to keep saying it for at least the next four years: @aoc.bsky.social for president!
Idgaf I’m still fighting for guaranteed healthcare.

Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.”

We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

Trumpty-Dumpty renaming the Gulf of Mexico is going to go over about as well as renaming the Sears Tower did with Chicagoans. Will always be the Sears Tower.

X has ~18m daily USA users. @bsky.app, ~1.5m.

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

Thoughts on Hunter pardon:

- I don’t love it, but I completely understand why he did it

- with everything the incoming administration is telling us they’re going to do, we probably need to stop handcuffing ourselves with standards they won’t follow

- I wish it wasn’t this way

#POTUS pardoned his son. Put in
perspective- he didn’t interfere with Hunter Biden prosecution. His son had a plea deal, had taken responsibility. Trump promises “retribution” for his indictments, seeks to fire non-partisan law enforcement and considered pardoning himself. 🤔

Agreed! He pardoned him because he feared retaliation, not an appropriate punishment.
Joe Biden would not have pardoned Hunter if anyone else had been elected president. Under the circumstances, he did what any loving father would do. Why anyone is upset is beyond me. After all, these aren’t normal times, right?

All my ads on Twitter lately were far-right political ads and propaganda. It’s not “purity politics.” I left because Twitter became the opposite of the bastion of free speech Musk claimed to be trying to build.
I’m all for pushing back on purity politics (my latest newsletter made that exact argument), but I also don’t think not wanting to voluntarily subject yourself to unhinged far right lunatics attacking you for posting even the most banal tweets qualifies as “purity politics.”
“Leaving X because you don’t like Elon is the kind of purity politics that landed Democrats in this mess to begin with.”
