As the year draws to a close, I’m signing off 2025 with a magical find!

An ancient amber bear. Carved some 10,000 years ago, it washed up on a beach at Fanø, Denmark, from a submerged Mesolithic settlement in the North Sea.

✨ Happy New Year all! ✨

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Hana. Hana was a housewife and her husband Muhammad worked in a workshop, during the war he was injured which made him partially paralyzed. She’s trying to take care of their children Youseff, 13, Mayar, 12, Mira, 10, Aya, 8 and Yamen, 5.

Last read of the year- Last Dragoners of Bow Bazaar by @indrapramitdas.bsky.social. A beautiful, magical and nostalgic book I loved losing myself in.

In a strange way it reminded me of I Saw The TV Glow. The same sense of a otherness, childhood and bonding over stories.
