For some reason, I was just thinking about how Trump’s former chief of staff tried to warn us right before the election that Trump was a fascist who wanted to rule us like a dictator … and the New York Times put that story on page A12

Trump and Musk are ostensibly feuding in public a la WWE. The real news is that the Supreme Court, in typical fashion, is handing Trump and Musk major victories just before SCOTUS breaks for summer. That’s misdirection.

If Biden had said anytihng like this, Fox News would have had a banner headline: "The Democrats' War on Girls"
Trump: "I don't think a beautiful baby girl that's 11 years old needs to have 30 dolls. I think they can have three dolls or four dolls ... they don't need to have 250 pencils. They can have five."

A rare but candid look at childhood hunger by the WSJ and the overt callousness of Republican politicians who have refused federal dollars. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds suggested foregoing summer food programs would alleviate childhood obesity. Ceausescu would be proud.

Why Some States Refuse Federal Cash to Feed Poor Kids
Millions of federal dollars helped pay for food for hundreds of thousands of children in Tennessee last summer while school was out. Washington made the same offer this year—and Tennessee refused.

I recently read a post that reframed tolerance as a social contract among parties. This statement clarifies the paradox of tolerating the intolerant. Tolerance is a social contract, making it enforceable only if all parties adhere to it. Thus, one does not have to tolerate those who espouse hatred.

Trump trader advisor Peter Navarro states that tariff revenue will offset tax cuts, effectively lowering taxes for the 1% and raising taxes on everyone else. Does that count as wealth redistribution? Thanks to WSJ for reporting.

The concerted effort attacking judges and law firms is intended to intimidate any real opposition to a one-party state. It’s the playbook of too many “modern” dictatorships.

Breaking News: A federal judge called President Trump’s attempts to punish the law firm Jenner & Block “disturbing” as he temporarily blocked most of an executive order that targeted it, the latest courtroom defeat in Trump’s campaign of retaliation against law firms.
