One year ago this week, Labor introduced its social media ban for under 16s, ramming it through parliament in 7 days - such was their keenness

A year later, just 19 days before the laws come into effect on 10 December, the government was still finalising details

Labor has brushed aside concerns over the social media ban. But what if it doesn’t work as promised?
If Meta, the world’s biggest social media company, expects problems after a year of preparation, then what should the rest of us be expecting?

Nothing new about poisoning brigalow *regrowth* — Bjelke-Petersen used to do it, with 245-T. But aerial spraying of old-growth brigalow trees (here, also many other species) with much more effective modern herbicides is new to me.

And public old-growth brigalow, beside a public road? 'Oops...'

So, to recap, Ukraine and Europe understand that America has effectively endorsed a 28-point plan to force Kyiv to capitulate, set a Thursday deadline to accept it, and threatened to cut off all aid.

Now Marco Rubio says it's all wrong, that's not the plan, there's no deadline and no threat.

The “deal” deprives Ukraine of everything it has won by withstanding Russian aggression and defending the borders of Europe.

It rewards Russian lawlessness—and makes America complicit in the lawlessness.

It’s the end of post WWII American power.

‘It made me sick’: CSIRO job cuts due to waste, not underfunding, ex-senior staff say
The CSIRO this week announced job cuts of up to 350 staff. But a former executive says the agency’s management squandering a huge short-term government funding boost.

/2 Are some marginal weirdos genuinely pro-Hamas? Yes.

But when you are part of a movement that calls EVERYONE pro-Hamas if they criticize or question Israel or express concern for Palestinians, I’m not going to waste my time listening to you when you tell me someone is pro-Hamas.

The President of the United States is literally threatening opposing lawmakers with death for a video they made encouraging service members to refuse unlawful orders.
Trump posts again about Democrats, saying their behavior is “punishable by DEATH!”
