Welcome too !” “Thank you for inviting us again.” Adds the Hanbridge father. [Panel 4] Once inside, they start conversing some more. “Thank you for having me ! I hope it’s not much of an intrusion. I was staying with Andrew for the summer.” Frank explains awkwardly, feeling embarrassed to have been dragged along by Andrew to a dinner he wasn’t invited to. “Oh, not at all. The more the merrier.” Daryl answers, adding a convincingly warm gesture to her words. While Paul is giving his thanks to one of the family butlers, his son is waiting. “Andrew !” Akko’s voice pierces the air and the surprise immediately gets his attention. [Panel 5] After rushing down the stairs, Akko’s waving at him with a big smile “Heeeey ! Long time no see !” She joyfully welcomes Andrew. [Panel 6] The pleasure is shared, he gleefully joins her. “Hey, Akko ! How are you ?” “Great ! How’s the graduated life going ?” [Panel 7] “With all the preparations for university, I’m thankful for this break.” He shrugs, tired of this subject already. Diana slowly walks to them, trying to gain as much time as she can walking down the stairs.

[Panel 3] Diana is flustered by the result of her work, but is still not entirely satisfied. “Hm. It’s still missing something…” “You think ?” Akko is confused, she thinks it’s already perfect ! [Panel 4] “Let me try this.” She moves to the side of the hairdresser. [Panel 5] She opens one of the drawers, in search of something specific. [Panel 6] A close up of Diana’s hand gently putting an earring on Akko’s ear. [Panel 7] A few seconds pass and now Akko is wearing small earrings, depicting the crescent moon and a shining star, and Diana is looking at the mirror just next to her shoulder. “Well, what do you think ?” “I… uh… I think I do look like a noblewoman now. It’s almost like magic.” The two of them are blushing from the intimacy that this moment gives them. [Panel 8] Diana stands again, and tries to act cool, even if “acting cool” might not usually require to intently close your eyes and cross your arms after putting a step of distance between you and a friend. Receiving compliments isn’t her forte “Oh, shush.” She pauses and adds, redder by the second “You can keep those, regardless.” “What ?!” Akko jumps in surprise, she wasn’t expecting an expensive gift like that ! [Panel 9] She turns around without leaving the chair, making sure she’s not joking “Are you sure ?” Diana turns her head away “Yes, I’ve never even worn them. And they look fabulous on you.” [Panel 1o] Akko softly smiles, her eyes tenderly looking at Diana, she rests one arm on the back of the chair, while her other hand is on her cheek. “Tell you what : If we survive the dinner party, I’ll tell you all about Japan.”

In this page the pigeon is on the ground, out of it. Then it sees a window sill and carefully builds a new nest. But once it's on it, a cat looks at it menacingly from the other side of the window. In this page we see the pigeon mourning its recently destroyed nest. Then it tries to make a nest on a pole, but the electricity prevents it from getting too close. It finally notics a wooden house some kind soul put on a sill, and the pigeon nests there.

It’s been so long !”]) [Panel 6] Akko is beaming with joy, finally being able to see and talk to her parents after yearning for their presence for the last week, she’s trying to get as much as she can of them from this phone call. [Panel 7] “Dianaって-” (“Diana tte–” [“Diana is–”]) Her parents cut her, Akko is surprised by what they answer to her. [Panel 8] “あ、もう– わかったよ...”(“Ah, mou– Wakatta yo…” [“aaah, fiiine– I got it…”] Frustrated, Akko seems to give up on some answer her parents gave her. Diana definitely heard her name with Akko’s natural accent a moment before, does it have something to do with her ? [Panel 9] Akko turns her head in her direction, this was about her indeed ! And why is she pouting, like she’s in distress but also embarrassed ? [Panel 10] She stops facing her, too self conscious to look at her while transmitting her parents’ word. “Uh, Diana? My parents want to meet you, is that alright ?” she finally asks. [Panel 11] Diana is taken aback by this, too formal, demand. She doesn’t realize she’s gripping her book, flustered as she is. She simply answers “Um– Yes, of course.”
