I can highly recommend The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson for a nice dose of late 50s gothic horror. Perfect for Halloween reading . @christietime.bsky.social I’ve very much made my peace with Shirley now 😂

I’m happy to join this bandwagon , I really like @zackpolanski.bsky.social too ! 💚
It's kinda of weird how "do you like Zack Polanski?" has become the new "How will you pay for it?" and "Would you hit the nuclear button?" of the leadership election!

Thanks @owenjones.bsky.social & @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social - appreciate you both too!

Very proud of Carla 💚💚
Carla doing the work of two @greenparty.org.uk co-leaders

"If it emerges that the consequences of that ruling, and the consequences of the EHRC guidance, is that it fails to protect Trans, Non-binary, and Intersex people's basic human rights then I will not hesitate to push for a change in the law"
This "debate" about who should use what toilet doesn’t benefit anyone. It doesn’t fix the underfunding of women's refuges, NHS waiting lists leaving women in terrible pain, mums skipping meals to feed their kids. How about we get on with tackling the real issues affecting women?

Why have I never thought deeply about this lovely pairing before ?! Great episode of The Swinging Christies ❤️

Expensive and unreliable train journeys are sadly the norm for many of my constituents - cancellations are disruptive for all of us, but especially disabled people who often have to plan their journeys very carefully. I raised the issue in a debate this morning.

Where to start unpicking the Tory stance on this one ….. 🤦🏻‍♀️
A story in two parts:

Green Party - "(Tories) protest came after Zack Polanski refused to host an all-male panel discussion."

The Tories- "We’re not going to put up with the wokery" and walked out of the committee.

Then we got on with the meeting.

The crisis in social care is clear for everyone to see.

Patients, carers and staff are hurting now. We don't need to wait years for a report to confirm what we already know. The Government must act now.

Here's what the Green Party would do to fix the social care crisis:

Continuing the ban on puberty blockers is a worrying decision.

The same medication continues to be used safely by young people for other reasons. By relying on the reason for prescription, is this ban simply discrimination against our
#trans youth? 👇

Solidarity with our trans & non-binary siblings today.
Wes Streeting has just made it so much harder to be a trans person.
Puberty blockers are a small but vital part of care for some trans people. We should not let a culture war determine healthcare!

I share concerns of experts at the Council of Europe that removing access to #PubertyBlockers except through clinical trials may breach “fundamental ethical principles governing research”, amounting to coercion and a breach of young people's human rights. I asked Wes Streeting about this today... 🧵

Well said @zackpolanski.bsky.social

The @greenparty.org.uk will always stand with people's right to self identity; and oppose discrimination of trans people and all marginalized communities 💚
Wes Streetings decision to ban puberty blockers should be called out for what it is.

He's playing culture wars where trans & non binary youth are collateral damage & Labour dance to Reforms tune.

An attack on trans people is an attack on our LGBTQ+ community. We must say no.

This is utterly outrageous !
My jaw hit the floor when I heard about Gaie Delap's case. A 77-year old peaceful climate protester threatened with being returned to jail...because they can't find a tag small enough for her wrists.

As her MP, I have written to the prisons minister Lord Timpson.
