New: Failure to rescue (FTR) in early versus later severe anastomotic leakage after colorectal surgery - Annals of Surgery

8562 resections -> 3.3% severe leak rate

FTR higher after leak after emergency resection versus elective (29% vs 11%)

2 risk scores were assessed in international cohort of 2284 patients from 🇫🇮🇬🇧🇸🇪🇫🇷🇳🇴🇨🇦🇩🇰

DISPAIR and D-FRS performed poorly

👉 We combined and validated new DISPAIR-FRS score with better performance
