New: Failure to rescue (FTR) in early versus later severe anastomotic leakage after colorectal surgery - Annals of Surgery

8562 resections -> 3.3% severe leak rate

FTR higher after leak after emergency resection versus elective (29% vs 11%)

☑️Overall survival similar

☑️Slightly better local control per tumor in ablation group!
