In an honest collection of memories, Jocelyn Jane Cox threads through decades of life while navigating grief and love, as she loses her mother while becoming a mother herself in Motion Dazzle: A memoir about Motherhood, Loss, and Skating on Thin Ice.

The choice was always easy for me, but I still waited for grief, regret. It never came. Freedom did instead. Thank you @huffpost.com for sharing my story. #abortion #abortionishealthcare

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Look at the gap between the U.S. left and the U.S. right.

Even look at where the U.S. right site in comparison to the French and Italian right who are the conscious heirs to the Vichy and Mussolini legacies.

Pretty breathtaking.

During Trump's first term, some EPA scientists said managers encouraged them to delete evidence of chemicals’ harms, including cancer, miscarriage and neurological problems, from their reports. In some cases, they said, the managers deleted the information themselves.

(Published Sept. 2024)
EPA Scientists Said They Were Pressured to Downplay Harms From Chemicals. A Watchdog Found They Were Retaliated Against.
Three reports issued by the agency’s inspector general detailed personal attacks suffered by the scientists — including being called “stupid,” “piranhas” and “pot-stirrers” — and called on the EPA to…

cannot be said enough that for a decade a critical number of americans have simply refused to accept that he means what he says
I hold a lot of disdain for the people who didn’t see this coming given P2025 but it does seem like the actual support for these goals is nonexistent, everyone who voted for him did so under the incredibly stupid assumption that he wouldn’t do this

"The U.S. Constitution gives Congress control over spending matters, but Trump said during his campaign that he believes the president has the power to withhold money for programs he dislikes."
Trump orders pause to all federal grants and loans
It's a sweeping decision that could disrupt education and health care programs, housing assistance, disaster relief and a host of other initiatives that depend on billions of federal dollars.

Mr. President: Instead of stealing Greenland from Denmark, I have a better idea.

In Denmark, everyone is guaranteed health care, college education is free, parents receive 1-year of paid paternity leave & workers don’t make less than $22 an hour.

Let's steal those ideas.

Shou’s msg telling us to stay tuned & thanking Tr*mp is the equivalent of a musical artist pretending to go off stage only to come back for their encore. Except I’m already in the parking lot, getting in my car, & leaving this lame party. TikTok is back, but I don’t need any favors from the devil. 🫡
