Puras buenas noticias pasado el Río Grande. Qué horror
Unreal. The US government is dumping Asian and African families and children in random countries that they have no connection to. Dumping, not "deporting." Deportation implies the return of a person to their home country. This is treating people like toxic waste.

Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

Quienes conocemos la dictadura no la queremos para ustedes
One of the best articles I’ve read about the age we are entering.

And it touches on something that we need to discuss more: in authoritarianism it is *logical* to cede power to those in power.

Or rather, it is seemingly logical. Ultimately, even after you give in, they’ll come for you.
