Canada can't co-host FIFA 2026 with the USA and pretend that the event is in any way a boon to human rights. Our involvement was ill considered from the outset. At what point do we, as a nation, admit that these mega events are harmful and cease our complicity in those harms?

1/2 Really sad to hear about the passing of Kirsty Duncan. Considered her a friend. She didn't just help me understand the sport system, she was an important pillar of support when I was going through some tough times as an academic.
