Haiti had to change their uniforms to meet IOC political neutrality protocol, while USA gets to bring ICE. Haiti's uniforms celebrated the toppling of a colonial regime. The USA's thugs uphold such a regime. The IOC is always so disappointing.

For many of the major venues, what's been discussed has been a one-mile radius. For the Figueroa/Expo Park cluster, that would encompass huge sections of downtown and South LA

Canada can't co-host FIFA 2026 with the USA and pretend that the event is in any way a boon to human rights. Our involvement was ill considered from the outset. At what point do we, as a nation, admit that these mega events are harmful and cease our complicity in those harms?

George Paris of Truro, Nova Scotia, as he appeared before facing Joe Grim in 1908. Paris was working as an instructor at the Vancouver Athletic Club at the time of the bout. They fought 15 rounds to a draw at Recreation Park in North Vancouver, where a grandstand was erected for the occasion.
