G) All the "rules" of writing are subject to fads and fashions. There's nothing objectively superior about a given skirt length, or the tightness (or not) of jeans. If you're stuck on a particular era of style as the only right one, you miss out on a lot.

Kind of want to muse on the experience of writing beiran and jwds at the same time (I drafted the bulk of both fics at very different times, but have been finishing/editing them in parallel)... but said musings would really be for like two people

Becoming increasingly convinced that when people say "the audience for this is mostly straight women" it's just a lazy way of saying that the audience ISN'T mostly straight men. That's it.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I have a chapter and a half of line edits and one small knot of substantive edits before the book is DONE done done. Feels like a zeno's paradox situation to the finish line but I must believe that I will get there. Probably even this week.
