It's the dumb Black people siding with Trump and the Republicans and not knowing what DEI is. They are all a bunch of sheep following behind their white daddy

How? Use other means.
Equivalents: buy from those Black business websites directly or from other B&M stores that carry their products
The goal: to force change via decrease in market share; what’s needed is consistency and longevity of boycott- hold the line.
Leaders: unsure at this time
"Black people boycott Target!"

Ok sure, but a few questions:

•How?
•What are the shopping alternatives/equivalents for Black people?
•What is the actual goal of the boycott and what's really needed to achieve it?
•Who is leading this boycott? Whether it be an individual or an organization.

Not Home Goods, take TJ Maxx instead 🙏🏽😭😭
Oh yeah I can. Yeah I don't need to do all that to get my point across. I only get that way of the other person does 1st, but I'm even more reluctant to with women....well BW mainly that's pretty rare it happens.

Getting hyped over a white girl with a BBL gotta be a federal crime for you niggas
January 28, 2025 at 6:13 AM
Uhhhhhh. Don't do that again...ever 😳😭
January 28, 2025 at 4:57 AM
This how you know I love you negros. Yall came at me for asking questions b/c I want us to make sure a boycott last 😂 and I didn't call anyone out their name or nothing. As frustrating as it is arguing against a misinterpretation/misunderstanding, I know we all aiming for the same thing.
January 28, 2025 at 4:42 AM
Actually this is my last quote. I also asked the alternatives question because I don't want ppl giving up on Target just to turn around & use another business that don't give a shit about us either. A list of places to avoid was given and that was appreciated! Some ppl understand...the others, man 🤦🏾‍♂️
People be so quick to call for a boycott but don’t have plans, and then get mad when questions like these are asked

By far the worse response. I'm ngl this is my last response to this thread. 😂 Appreciate those that came to an amicable conclusion. To those that didn't, or I didn't respond to. It is what it is. No harm done no harm foul. We all want the same thing.

I just want this to last and be real. ✌🏾

I won't lie. Atp I had to go back and look at how I asked because I forgot after all these conversations and everything.

You got it. 😂🤷🏾‍♂️ I see how it can be taking as me wanting the answer personally. I don't. I was asking in a general sense.

My bad. I just eant this shit to last I promise
YOU posted how to boycott. How is that not supposed to be perceived as YOU not asking how? You got it bruh. Good luck on your journey and may you find the answers you’re looking for 😂
I didn't ask yall to tell me how to do anything. That's the misconception, nowhere did I personally ask for that or ask how can I, me, do this.

And if I saw ppl talking about it and said they didn't have any of those answers...doesn't that mean I looked for those answers. Wtf are we talking now??
January 28, 2025 at 3:34 AM
It can feel disingenuous, but when I say it's not and explain multiple times why I asked those questions...because I didn't see any of that really being discussed...it gets annoying to watch yall get pissy b/c I want shit to be real and last & not end like it typically does
We had a whole discussion on here recently where everyone was giving alternatives for every store UNDER the reason why not only Target but a countless list of others were getting boycotted…even if you say it is a serious question…this shit feels disingenuous especially on this platform

Okay what you saw but did you actually look for the answers? I think that asking basic questions is where the annoyance comes in. There’s a difference in I researched this and want y’all’s thoughts vs tell me how to do everything.
Every tweet and every post I saw of people calling for this not once had any of those answers...or I wouldn't have asked. I've explained my position like 5x 😂

TBH, apparently yall do b/c yall call for these "boycotts," they don't work & ppl go right back to buying from em. Their pockets never hurt
January 28, 2025 at 3:07 AM
This response made my head hurt a little less. Thank you. 🫶🏾 Because yeah...
January 28, 2025 at 2:59 AM
Seems. But tbh I'm getting multiple different goals and that's the issue. But hey 🤷🏾‍♂️ I'm apparently a nigga asking too many questions trying to help from the push back over been getting 🤦🏾‍♂️😂
“What is the goal of the boycott and what’s really needed to achieve it?”

Seems pretty self-explanatory for black folks. That’s just me tho.

How dare I indeed? With my mfn wanting to see my ppl get & do more ass. 😒

😂😂😂😂 like damn
how dare you ask such logical questions
January 28, 2025 at 2:56 AM
That's white ppl that I'm pretty sure is the top percentile demographic consumer. That is an entirely different.

I'm not explaining this anymore. I've said the reasoning for those questions at least 5x now. Stop trying to argue and not understand my point.
But it has been done

White folks just damn near brought Bud Light to their knees over a trans post

We did it to get MLK holiday federally recognized and to push folks to divest from South Africa

Does it take sacrifice - yeah but it's not some out of reach idea requiring tons of formal organizing
I'll answer your follow up here too. I asked about Leadership b/c while yall say it's "easy" it literally has not been done whenever one of these has been called for or if it started it fizzled out and/or didn't have an impact. 🤷🏾‍♂️

But I like that you answered. The 2nd part of that goal may be tough

To address the last question, I suggest reading about Ella Baker’s group-centered leadership style. A singular person or organization isn’t always necessary for every wave of a movement.

🤔 I can do that. Just going off the naming I think I've had this idea before. Thanks too

1. Don't shop or purchase.
2. Local stores depending on your location
3. Make our voices and dollars noticed; drop in revenue
4. There isn't one. Why is a leader needed for anyone to simply find alternative retailers?

I like these. I think it can be more fleshed out, but this is definitely a start fr, especially the goal
1) Do not go or buy.

2) Where we/you are welcomed.
Community, another’s, online etc. Whatever’s best for you.

3) Equitable understanding, and treatment for all.

4) You, and every person who mindfully spends, with those who uphold solidarity with us. or Smart enough protect their fcking interests.
