I regularly remind my D&D players of the 2:3 “golden number” for average difficulty odds (1:1 is hard, 3:4 is easy); the fundamental flaw of the D20 system treating Armor Class and monster levels/CRs as absolute when they must always be relative to the PCs’ by 3 to 4 degrees for this reason.
Remembering the time GCYoshi told me his mantra for luck-based games: Even if you have 50:50 results, your brain will always weigh negative outcomes heavier. It'll feel 30:70

My wife saw I had a Dinosaur Comics dry-erase comic board on my list so she got one from @ryannorth.ca for our anniversary. I immediately filled it out with the provided markers.
