Breaking: An Epstein survivor just silenced press conference attendees when she delivered the following remarks:

“Today we stand in a moment that will decide whether our government belongs to the American people, or to those who prey on them.”

Talarico: if you read the new testament, Jesus doesn't spend most of his time preaching or teaching or even praying. He spends most of his time healing the sick.

Right now, we have politicians in congress with Christ follower in their Twitter bio, but they are kicking the sick off their health care

What I.C.E. and this Administration are doing to brown-skinned people is a crime.
It’s a sin.
It's inhumane.
It's not pro-life.
It’s not Christian.
It’s not making America great.
It's wrong by any measurement decent people use.
And it’s time we said it.

The I.C.E. Atrocities Should Be the Final Straw for Decent Human Beings.
This should be the final straw for us, America.

This is so indefensibly insane: Speaker Johnson is refusing to seat Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva because she'll be the 218th vote to release the Epstein files. Johnson swore in Rep Walkinshaw (VA) w/in 24 hours.

Johnson is abandoning his job to instead protect a convicted child sex predator

Being on any social media is like seeing a paper bag that says DEAD DOVE on it, opening said bag and being surprised to see a dead dove.

At least people on Bluesky are funny about it.

Q: How did the White House decide it was appropriate for Jared Kushner to be working on matters that involve Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia -- 3 countries combined that have given him more than $2.5b

LEAVITT: It's frankly despicable that you're trying to suggest that it's inappropriate

After a nine-day trial, a federal court ruled that Noem and Rubio misused their power to target international students for their protected political speech. When a government retaliates against individuals based on their words, we must ring the alarm bells loudly.

Yesterday people asked why Nexstar and Sinclair caved. The answer is simple: those who tracked which companies were advertising with them made a huge impact. Thanks to those calls, companies began pulling their ad budgets over the Kimmel blackout.

The rules have changed. Mike Johnson wants to wait until the official results come in October 14th to swear in Grijalva.
Grijalva: I was looking at the example of now-Representative Walkinshaw from Virginia, who was elected two weeks ago Tuesday. The following Wednesday—less than 24 hours later—he was sworn in, with unofficial results.

So for me, apparently the rules have now changed in just two weeks.

Disney/ABC have a responsibility to refuse to participate in corruption.

Kimmel must be reinstated. If Disney/ABC agree to this extortion then perhaps creatives + workers should consider collective action to push back. Same w/buying park + cruise tickets if they bow.
