People can and should have nice things.

If someone writes a report saying "we build transport that is too nice and that's why projects are expensive and that's why we don't build more of them" then not only should their analysis be discarded as junk but they should be pilloried.

The South Wales "Metro" is local rail as it should be. Frequent, accessible and user friendly. There's even the option to pay contactless like on the tube... It's difficult to see how just 5 years ago, this network ran using Pacer trains, but the investment has clearly paid off!

For the first time since 1949, the UK will be served by double decker trains, this time based off the TGV-M soon to be used by SNCF! It's frustrating that the best train we can get here is the one that leaves the country... www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Eurostar orders first double-decker trains
They would be the first two-level high-speed trains to run through the Channel Tunnel.

After much consideration, I have joined the Greens! I was skeptical at first, especially with the promise of Your Party but the subsequent chaos before founding and the results Zack Polanski and his team have been delivering have shown me that Green is the way forward! 💚

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

I'm delighted to see the return of al fresco dining and drinking to St Martin’s Lane in the heart of the West End.

The road will be car-free from 11am–11pm every day until the end of October, giving Londoners and visitors the space to enjoy outdoor dining and socialising 🍽️

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

And it's our high-carbon, high-consumption lifestyles that are exacerbating it...

We must rethink our lifestyle choices and urgently reduce our reliance on flights.

This is its defining characteristic: doing whatever powerful lobbyists ask, regardless of the social, environmental and even political costs.
