Saw a large covey of quail on the side of the Galloping Goose the other day, but a scooterer scared them before I could get a shot of the group. Just trust me- there were a lot!

Holy niche skeet, Batman!

In elementary school when we had pizza or hot dog days you had your choice of Beep or Vi-Co... which is for some reason what chocolate milk was called in Saskatchewan. (Hoodies were bunnyhugs ofc.) AMA.
Beep (circa 1962-2010, 2012-2015): An amalgamated "fruit juice-based beverage" from Canada, that developed a cult following. It was made with a blend of orange, apple, apricot, prune, and pineapple juices, along with canola oil, corn starch, added orange pulp, & caramel coloring

Don't know how to feel about the fact that this is probably the only thing I ever said on Bluesky that more than 6 people will see...

1/3 Wow… the @timescolonist.bsky.social is really letting their biases show. Saying "refuses to call for" sounds like they removed a staff recommendation or a well reasoned report, instead of what they did: reject an unserious, poorly thought out, non-evidence based spam motion from one councillor.

Devastating. They were saving lives. A prime example of how legal and moral are not always the same thing.

My friend had a hysterectomy today so I made them a replacement uterus that functions as a drawstring bag and put some care items inside.

Dallas Brodie just put forward a bill that would ban land acknowledgements. It was handily defeated, but still both disgusting and a performative waste of time.

Interesting that This Hour Has 22 Minutes only posted their sketch where Canada has "NICE agents" instead of ICE agents to X and not here. I guess they know that we have heard of the RCMP?

Today in QP in the BC Legislature, One BC used their one wild and precious question to ask the government do "denounce Antifa". What a world we're living in.

Just a quick reminder: involuntary care is an oxymoron.
B.C. Premier David Eby has just announced the creation of two more involuntarily care sites: one in Prince George and one in Surrey.

This will double the number of sites in the province, and Eby said his goal is to have them in every region of the province.

I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

Trying to find more ways to use up odds and ends of scrap yarn, so I made this cute guy who was enjoying a spot of sunshine this morning. Now taking name suggestions.

Elenore Sturko got kicked out of the BC Conservative caucus and had to rush out of the legislature with all her belongings in a box and you're laughing?!

Rode 55 km on Saturday! Biked out to Harvest Rd at Michell Farm and stopped to see the new piglets on the way. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a fun #yyj outing on the weekend. (Or during the week if you don't have a boring 9-5 like some of us.)

Why is health advice always like "take a walk" and "get more sleep" and never "evolve into a crab"?
