If #Cthulhu were to massage your brain it would not be done with tentacles, but with psalms of wet geometry, whispered through lattices of non-Euclidean cartilage—each syllable a surgical caress unravelling the cortex like overripe fruit beneath an alien sun.
That's what I think anyway, just imo.

Just fact-checking this - it is a fairly accurate paraphrase, though not direct quote, here is what Einstein actually said:
From an essay titled "Why Socialism?" in Monthly Review. (1949) (monthlyreview.org/2009/05/01/w...)

There is irony, but this some gilded level psycho irony going on right here. I genuinely think he believes his own bullshit too... so what is that? Bullshitrony?

Been watching too much news. I was trying to remember whose theory was the Zone of Proximal Development and all I could come up with was Zelensky.
(it was of course Vygotsky).

I see you there, putting in the work. Keep at it. Write that thing. Paint it. Sculpt it. Compose it. Photograph it. Play it. Record it. Choreograph it. Draw it. Cook it. Knit it. Whatever. Keep making art.

When Trump denounces actual news as Fake News, he is deliberately attacking the free press and their right to tell the truth, even when he doesn't like it.
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com
“Across the world, we’ve seen democracy in retreat,” writes A.G. Sulzberger, the publisher of The New York Times. “This anti-press playbook is now being used here in this country — and it could not come at a more difficult time for the American press.”

I just taught a great lesson on English language and cultural capital. One student said it was the best lesson they had so far this year! I get back to my office happy, until I notice my flies were down the whole time!

Needed to find Sir Ken Branagh on socials, tell him how he inspired my reading in my upcoming #Shakespeare #Audiobook. Couldn't find him on X because they are ALL fake accounts. What's the world coming to when you can't even make genuine contact with an extremely famous person you've never even met?

Got my first "Violating an Executive Order" and "I'll make sure you lose federal funding" parent threat today for teaching "DEI" books in our upcoming "Liberty and Justice" themed unit. Even in "Blue" Massachusetts we're dealing with this.
Anyway, don't obey in advance, and don't obey later.

Rickrolled my class of 100 students because this weeks' lesson is about Trolls. I have been waiting all semester for this moment. And, hey I am not trying to be cool here, I know rickrolling is like watching an episode of Friends. But it's classic gentle comedy! We delve into more serious stuff too

Thanks to all the new followers! Much nicer over here at bluesky. However, I've not got much to say, other than the fact that meditating on the busy Tokyo commute is a good way to ensure people give you some space. Eyes closed, deep breaths. Maybe they thought I was about to explode.
