"Language is the wellspring of all creation"
What's interesting is that I couldn't share the full quote and all the relevant info in one post, which is almost certainly why it ended up being paraphrased like this. At least the sentiments are the same!
Me: You're welcome
Nobody who ever asked for such a detailed breakdown: Thx?

Chomsky said "If you're teaching today what you were teaching five years ago, either the field is dead or you are."
I have been using this quote for 10 years in my teacher training courses.

Needed to find Sir Ken Branagh on socials, tell him how he inspired my reading in my upcoming #Shakespeare #Audiobook. Couldn't find him on X because they are ALL fake accounts. What's the world coming to when you can't even make genuine contact with an extremely famous person you've never even met?

Rickrolled my class of 100 students because this weeks' lesson is about Trolls. I have been waiting all semester for this moment. And, hey I am not trying to be cool here, I know rickrolling is like watching an episode of Friends. But it's classic gentle comedy! We delve into more serious stuff too

Let's all come together and try to agree on stuff, yeah?

I agree. But I think the rot is faster if you only play mobile games. Some of them are pure brain rot. No Man's Sky on the other hand... I found it to expand my horizons in many ways (whilst rotting my brain)

someone came to my office and obviously wanted to give me a message
but they couldn't tell me because there was no chalk
so they gave up their original message to tell me I have no chalk
somehow, despite their ingenuity, I feel they wasted an opportunity here

In light of the mass exodus from Twitter to BlueSky, I am sharing this quote on here. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind - Gandhi. There is no evidence Gandhi actually ever said this, of course. Misinformation is why we left Twitter. However, the sentiment is true... you cannot fight fire
