Forever fascinated by how things work and spending most of my days working on Soundscape https://scottish-tech-army.github.io/Soundscape-Android/.
Music, family and geography with some clothes making thrown in.
I've just spent a great couple of days at the OSM State of the Map Europe conference in sunny Dundee #sotmeu2025.
It was my first SOTM and was so very, very good. Brilliantly well run with lots of fun extras which all amplified the feeling of community. So much generosity on display.

Petition for more counterexamples to plausible mathematical conjectures to contain the word "Nope". This is very cool in other ways too ofc.

My folks are in to Aberdeen to see the tall ships today, and I hadn't realised that the Malcolm Miller was there - www.tallshipsaberdeen.com/news-hub/mal... I was lucky enough to sail on it when I was 17, from Portsmouth to Lorient, the Scilly Islands and Barry Island. Gail force 7 in the channel...

I'd like to give a big thanks to @protomaps.com for their fantastic work. Our open source Android port of Soundscape, the navigation and exploration app for visually impaired uses a protomaps server and it's reduced the cost to the supporting charities by a huge amount. github.com/Scottish-Tec...

@hamishhawk.bsky.social was one of many musical highlights in Glasgow tonight. The non-musical highlight was the person behind me asking if I was his dad 😂 Very flattering, but I'm concerned that I'm balding faster than I realised...
