Too much awareness without agency leads to despair, not action.

We have gotten so used to Great Replacement becoming normalized that most people hardly noticed that a racist, antisemitic, xenophobic conspiracy theory popularized by mass shooters and 4chan trolls is now government policy.
The U.S. State Department is repeating a white nationalist conspiracy theory.

On Friday, it claimed that “mass migration poses an existential threat to Western civilization.”

That line comes straight from the Great Replacement myth: the lie that immigration is a plot to erase white populations.

US judge tosses cases against ex-FBI chief Comey, New York AG James
A federal judge dismissed criminal charges against two of Trump's perceived enemies, FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, ruling the U.S. attorney he hand picked to prosecute them was unlawfully appointed.

Carville really loves to echo GOP propaganda doesn’t he. You know what else the right doesn’t like; minorities, immigrants, woman who aren’t barefoot and pregnant, equitable employment opportunities and compensation, education, rational gun laws, etc. maybe the Democrats shouldn’t try to please them.

This has been the source of speculation since first reported, but there are no credible reports or intelligence findings indicating he was investigating Kushner for leaking classified information.

I *hate* that interviewers have given up on even gentle pushback when Trump's people confidently assert that they inherited "an absolute economic mess" and therefore had no choice but to set about restructuring the entire U.S. economy

When Jamal Kashoggi was murdered by MBS, he was working on a report about how Jared Kushner was feeding classified documents (CIA secrets) to MBS. Jared then received $2 billion from Saudi Arabia.

The next administration needs to perp walk the entire party to Alligator Alley. Until that happens, we don’t live in a “free” country.

Then they’ll just need to be tried and executed right here!

A U.S. citizen can be tried in The Hague by the ICC, if the crime falls under ICC jurisdiction (e.g., committed in an ICC state). They can fight it, but it’s not impossible.

🧵Read Friedman’s very important article as we weep for Ukraine and our European allies. @normornstein.bsky.social thanks for highlighting the shame we will forever suffer⬇️
Tragically, Tom Friedman is right. This is utter appeasement to a monstrous Vladimir Putin. Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff, Dan Driscoll, selling out America and Ukraine to Russia. Disgusting and disgraceful.

Yep. This is the shithole. Didn’t take long to completely destroy anything good about it. That’s probably because capitalism is a failed system that amplifies the worst human character traits.

Trump is a moron, but he knows how to ingratiate and align himself with popular trends. He won the first election by offering to remake politics. That resonated. Mamdani is doing the same thing and Trump knows it. His efforts are hamfisted and painfully obvious, but his supporters are gullible.
