I'm not even mad at UBC, just disappointed. First letting HKPF recruit @ UBC amidst the HK protests, now complicit in the administration of the NSL. Some of us are alrdy at risk for speaking up. Grow a spine & take a stand. Thx @jennykwan.bsky.social for this.

From posting recruitment ads for the HKPF in the recent past, to this ⬇️, to failing to acknowledge and divest from Israeli genocide against Palestinians, UBC has a long way to go to uphold justice and ethical commitments as an educational institution. Too often we have failed those who speak up.

10 years on from the Umbrella Movement, this is one of my favourite images from those 79 days.
Shrines were set up in Mong Kok, including this one for the martial god Kuan Ti and another for Christ. A sign on the Kuan Ti one condemned those that would take them down to eternity in Hell.
