No electricity at homes.
But this streetlight and two blue-and-yellow windows bring a smile.

Answering your possible question – no, streetlights are not always on during outages. Sometimes.

russian occupation is not peace. It's taking the entire village hostage in the school basement, killing tens of fellow villagers by inhumane treatment and deprival of medical care.

We must not allow rewriting history especially as our wounds are still bleeding. #yahidne #makerussiapay

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

Russia's full-scale invasion has now lasted 1,417 days, matching its WWII participation. Soviet forces reached Berlin and took it in that time, while Russia's army "heroically" advanced 60 km from Donetsk to Pokrovsk, with losses per square kilometer exceeding Stalin-era records.

Just to inform.

Kyiv.
–12 °C outside.
No power for 12 hours after we had it for 4 hours at dawn.
Heating is barely on.
No hot water.
It’s really cold in the apartment.

We’ll survive this.
But how long will unpunished evil walk free?

My assignment for Winona Nelson's SmArtschool class: Choose a favorite book and illustrate a cover for it.

I picked "The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller, and my goal was to capture a similar bittersweet tone as the novel has.
