The letter Vo in Futura®100 Khmer. “Khmer characters have gone through many evolutions and changes since they were first adopted from the Pallava script during the 5th and 6th centuries AD. Many of them now have completely different shapes from their original forms. The letter វ (VO), which appears as a single vertical step with a loop and a hair (a term used to describe a top shape in Khmer letters), was more rounded and wider in older forms.” – Sovichet Tep, type designer
