I can't help but think this is a precursor to cracking down on legal weed which is mostly a blue state thing since red states have draconian anti-cannabis laws already.
The bill to end the government shutdown will ban hemp-derived THC products. This is insane and wrong.

I think it's really bad for our souls to just have these monstrous crimes as the white noise of our era, like a clip from Woodstock to establish something takes place in the 60s

There's no better way to understand how this economy really works than to see news that over 1 million jobs have been erased this year at the same time that the stock market is at or near a record high.

Part of the reason people who work professionally on homelessness policy coalesced behind "housing first" is because it is the cheapest possible solution (even cheaper for government overall than doing nothing is) and all the agencies that work on this are cash strapped.
