I called out the Government’s harmful cuts to carer support and the NHS. 150,000 carers will lose half a billion pounds by 2030, and Integrated Care Boards face 50% budget cuts with no impact assessment. The Government must take responsibility for the real consequences of these decisions.

"The Cambridge Room event was a textbook example of how academics, local councillors, officers (past and present), local professionals in the field, and local residents can get together and discuss complex and controversial issues." @cllrkatie.bsky.social & @tumihawkins.bsky.social were also there.

I was asked about Donald Trump on BBC Any Questions. It should be obvious to anyone by now that he is an unreliable ally. This has repercussions for our security in the UK. We must defend ourselves and our continent by building ever stronger relationships with European allies.

Here are a few photographs from our Report back from the front line of local government reform fringe at #LibDemConf.

The session was chaired by Councillor Bridget Smith and we heard from Vikki Slade MP and Councillors Peter Thornton and Theo Butt-Philip. We had some excellent questions too.
