Diary comic for the 30th of May 1/2
Legitimately wondering if there is anyone working in comics who is getting paid a normal living wage for the amount of hours they put into their books? Can such a person exist? Like an amount comparable to like a normal 9-5 job. Anyone? Anywhere? It’s so cold and dark in here

“Four of my children just evaporated,” Badran said, holding back tears. “I looked for them a million times. Not a piece was left. Where did they go?”

There are no words to adequately describe the evil here.
Israel used weapons in Gaza that made thousands of Palestinians evaporate
US-made thermal weapons burning at 3,500C caused 2,842 people to "evaporate" in Gaza, Al Jazeera investigation finds.

And almost impossible to capture in words how deeply I loved this. I feel like I could gush about it for hours! In considerations for my top 10 animated films of all time-levels of greatness at display.
SEPTUM - Teaser Trailer

Hace poco he terminado el corto en el que he estado trabajando los últimos meses, la idea es moverlo un poco por festivales (algo nuevo para mí). Veremos en qué acaba eso...

My comic ‘EVERYWHERE’ is about a girl who meets a boy in a tulip field 🌷

After losing one of my best friends to s*icide, it was a way of tackling that grief the best way I knew how & how I ultimately approach those who come and go in our lives.

If you're a business owner who fires someone you have assigned to an overseas job and you don't buy them a plane ticket home you should actually go to prison
Former Washington Post journalists have launched a GoFundMe to help repatriate fired staff members who are effectively stranded in foreign countries.

One of the richest men in the world fired them from the paper and didn’t even pay to ensure they got home.

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

Not a free pass for corporate-owned slop engines.
Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

Petition for people to stop talking about comics as “reading lite” or as a stepping stone on the way to reading ”real literature”. One day I wish to live in a world where people appreciated comics for it’s own sake as the unique artform that it is.
