Oh yeah the other day I saw a tri-colored heron and a limpkin hanging out together at one section of the bayou and then later that same day someone posted a pic of the same two guys at a nearby lake! I think they're friends! Fishing buddies!

If people don't want to read, they won't. But to sell this kind of unauthorized so-called companion is unconscionable. So infuriating.

I like it when the art and the artist are both awful, so you don't have to waste your energy trying to seperate them.

9 days away from Stanchion Magazine's next 24-hour sub window!

My favorite track 9 right now is "Be Sweet" from Billboard Heart by Deep Sea Diver. The lyric, "Why can't I be what you see in me," breaks my heart every damn time.

I can't wait to hear your writing sing on Jan 5.

And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, was somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, beat on, boat against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Arthur Rackham's illustration for the 1915 edition of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol,' sees Scrooge visited by the ghost of his former business partner Marley, who wanders the earth shackled by chains and cashboxes after his lifetime of greed.

Day 12 #12DoS2025 #ssac2025

A Very Mario Lopez Christmas by Megan Giddings

I'm not a consumer/fan of the stories/movies (Hallmark channel?) this story is parodying, yet it was still entertaining.

Day 23 #AdagioTeas2025

pomegranate green

I enjoyed two good steeps with this blend. I only wish I'd thought to use my pomegranate tree for a photo op.

A Nativity Scene by Rion Amilcar Scott

"...when there is no other option, the courage will be there to cut through the revulsion, the fear or any other barrier..."

(This story could be the birth of one of the grandsons, excepting that he was born before EMS arrived.)

Day 21 #AdagioTeas2025

Don't tell @mkcanuck.bsky.social but I brewed this in a cup😂 @barbaramcveigh.bsky.social , I drank it before I read that it contained peppermint😱 I don't typically care for mate but this combo was good. The mate aftertaste I don't care for was revealed during the 3rd steep.

Day 19 #AdagioTeas2025

ginseng green

This was nice. I'm thinking the fewer ingredients the better for me.

(The second steep was a bit bitter, but I may have used too hot of water and/or steeped it too long.)
