38, still kicking, still furry, still weird.

Expect a smattering of playful banter, the occasional bit of important politics, and anything I think is cute.

This is genuinely insane, I clicked to see the years expecting the low part to be 70s or maybe 90s but its 2015!!!!! The entire anti trans panic is a decade old
a stat i always cite is the number of anti-trans articles in the press went from 60 in a year, to 7,500

Maybe all the people in the files who were in positions to do something about it shouldn't have let it get this bad then, huh? If it breaks everything, it deserved to be broken.

Like, just the absolute audacity of trying to warn people of the consequences of their own inaction coming to roost.

I really want people to think about this. After all the insane lawsuits, all the threats, all the bullshit weve seen from this admin and the targets who kneeled in fear, an average Joe called the president a Pedophile protector to his face and didn't get touched. That's the Power of a union.

The airspace over El Paso airport, Texas, has been suddenly closed by the FAA for ten days, closing the airport too. The airspace has been defined as "National Defence Airspace". Nobody knows why.

When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means

This Discord news sucks but at least in a twist that can be enjoyable to certain @erakir.bsky.social-types, Discord (and whoever causes its next data breach) is about to discover that a lot of people have magically become identical clones of Sam Porter Bridges

I will never forget the number of people from other countries who are screaming at normal citizens to fix this when we ask for help. God for-fucking-bid we recognize that this is a situation that we can't immediately solve on our own and seek outside aid. "You made him, you fix him!"

So I know I know some picross/nonagram folks. I feel like I have a decent handle on the logic but occasionally get stumped. Squeakross gives you some tools to work with that, but I'm struggling with this one (I usually play w/o hints.) Can someone explain why these lines are lit up?

The Epstein case reflects systemic issues within the American elite. Despite clear evidence, the perpetrators will probably never be charged. They engage in exploitative practices without consequence. The American oligarchy has amassed its wealth through parasitism

As more and more of the Epstein stuff comes out I become more and more certain of the terrifying thought I had a few years ago when we started talking about this: That what is in those files implicates a massive portion of the social and political elite to a sickening and terrifying degree

life is a series of clubs - if you’re in, your misdeeds are written off as mistakes and indiscretions and you’re afforded infinite grace, and if you’re out a single fuckup will ruin your life

apparently the final form of this is pedophile club
I think what both the second Trump administration and the Epstein files have taught us is that there’s very little need of covertness or secrecy if everyone with power pretends you aren’t doing what you’re doing when you openly tell them what you’re doing

Well, at least for the forseeable future I no longer have access to the bksy viewer I normally use while I'm at work, which means I have to use the default experience that doesn't show replies that your follows make. Is there a way for the default viewer to do this?

the president of the united states should not be allowed to personally loot the treasury to the sum of ten billion dollars and that this is not resulting in immediate, unanimous impeachment is a dramatic indictment of what has become of our political system
President Trump has filed a lawsuit against the IRS, in which he demands that the IRS, which he as president controls, pay him $10 billion.

not even demands for oversight, medical care, decent food.

not even a little demand to give Liam his bunny hat and Spidey backpack back.

just bodycams.

I keep taking deep breaths and trying to focus on work and things of direct relevance to me, but I keep coming back to the fact that ICE murdered two people, video is absolutely crystal clear that they did, and no one's been fired, much less arrested. We still don't know the perpetrators' names.
