We are so excited for our St Andrews Slam Heat on March 15th at StAnza! We have 12 amazing poets competing for £200 and the chance to qualify for our £3,000 Grand Slam Final in August!

idk man the ‘difficult’ language in ‘difficult’ books is part of the point. don’t you WANT to learn to parse out interesting language and complex ideas? it’s all i wanted when i was a kid! i was so impatient for it!

quite telling of how the Scottish government have managed arts funding in recent years that what should be an unambiguously positive announcement can leave a person wishing they'd clarify whether they mean a real increase or another pretendy one

In some cautiously optimistic news, it’s nice to see the Scottish Budget today include a £20 million pledge to help Creative Scotland with its multi-year funding programme.
Hoping it’s not empty promise.
