Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.

We just had a threat assessment presentation from a lieutenant whose child survived a school shooting. Someone injured in that shooting is now on lockdown at Brown. Two students lost their lives just trying to prep for finals.
And our feckless government will continue to do nothing.

There is more to this than the obvious corruption. I suspect it is the latest attempt to withhold the incriminating Epstein files. If DOJ has an open, ongoing investigation into Epstein again, it can use that fact as a pretext for withholding any documents, lest it undermine the case. So shady.
