Just came through a flu I can only describe as an ordeal and instead of recovering I must now get myself, and my flat, in to order for my dad coming to stay for 2 days to celebrate our 3 birthdays with me and my daughter (who has also had flu).

I had such plans for 2024, none of them came to pass. Instead I got evicted, left an abusive relationship, left a stressful job, and moved cities. I had no idea 12 months ago I'd be where I am now.

I'm so grateful to live in a city that is overbrimming with #culture and cultured people. I'm in three #writing groups with lovely, supportive folks. There is abundant fine art. The jazz is world-class, and the library is epic! #Liverpool I love you. X
