Noted that it’s 60 years to the day that ‘The Nightmare Begins’ was broadcast.
Viewing the surviving clips invariably takes me back to one of my strongest memories of buying DWB (‘Daleks Masterplan 1 - Film Footage Found!’) & their much anticipated inclusion on ‘The Early Years‘ VHS.
Happy days.

Charity Auction:
I have a handful of autographed Doctor Who prints on eBay. 100% of the proceeds of each listing will go to Age UK who’ll help lonely older people at Christmas. They are those with the little charity symbol on them, find an example in the next tweet below:

I've had an idea...

Someone told me that cos there are nearly 800 episodes of the Simpsons, it's possible to describe all other shows with a clip from a Simpsons episode. So with that in mind, I'm going to use a freezeframe/gif to describe every classic Dr Who serial 😁 1 season per day...

Really strong chat about White Darkness from @2broad2deeppod.bsky.social with @garethbowley.bsky.social!
A good opening novel from David A McIntee but so many great novels yet to come!
As for Lovecraft, all my knowledge of his universe comes from South Park so I didn't really notice! 🤷‍♂️
Great chat!

8. OTD 1966. Deborah Watling & Mark Eden star in the Out of the Unknown play 'The World in Silence'. Now sadly lost, this tale of wayward teaching machines was adapted from John Rankine's story 'Six Cubed Plus One', published just a few years previously in the anthology series 'New Writings in SF'.

Reading through the production documents on the Remembrance of the Daleks blu-ray. I never knew Stratford Johns had been offered the Ratcliffe role. He would have been brilliant. Not that George Sewell wasn't good in it, I should add.
