We either all have rights, or none of us have rights

You need to be willing to stand up for the people who are different than you. The disabled, trans, immigrants, marginalized & people of colour

Its easy to stand up when you think you’re at risk, the true test is if you will speak out for others

The “moral case” for reforming welfare benefits should not mean further punishing and vilifying the vulnerable. It should mean tackling inequality and the oppressive powerlessness experienced by far too many workers.
Do what’s right for people and society. Not what’s popular with the Daily Mail.

The “the [x] of Auschwitz” formulation is basically becoming “the Exploitation of Auschwitz” and it is sickening to see en masse.

On one secondhand bookshop I saw about eight variations in a row, and it just did not seem right.

Disability is just a natural consequence of the fact that living matter isn't immortal. All matter breaks, and living matter is vulnerable to all sorts of damage. We also all develop in different ways and disabilities can be something you're born with. It's just a matter of luck.
Being disabled isn’t some abstract concept. It’s not a moral failing. It’s not something you can “try harder” their way out of.

It’s something that can happen to anyone at any time.

Once it happens to you, you will understand how little support exists. Help us & your future self will thank you.

Why are so few people talking about this?

Either they don’t know, or they’re pretending not to know

As night follows day, every dead sheep in the area will be blamed on them, though Eurasian lynx are specialist roe deer predators, and avoid open areas, where sheep graze.
This is what happened when a lynx escaped in Wales: all dog attacks became "lynx attacks".

Amazing, essential reporting (also like a million trigger warnings).

I have to say, it’s deeply depressing that the best writing about the trend of mass shootings is not in any mainstream publication. This stuff needs to be read by everyone with a stake in this (all of us).
The Madison, Wisconsin school shooter was a radfem Columbine-worshipper who followed "radfem Hitler". Garrison Davis dug into her online presence and wrote this to explain what the hell all that means and why the right wants us to think she was transgender.

Tucked into the Cass Report, deep in the appendices, you'll find that they reviewed thousands of patient records and found no one who'd been harmed by puberty blockers and fewer than 10 detransitions.
It’s even worse knowing that Wes actually met trans kids, listened to them cry about how awful it would be to go through the wrong puberty, how this is a lifesaving treatment, and is fucking doing this anyway

It’s even more heartless than shutting them out of conversations
BREAKING: I have seen confirmation that the indefinite puberty blocker ban for trans kids that was passed by the NI Executive yesterday will be UK-wide. It will come into effect on January 1 2025 when the temporary ban expires.

It is being laid before Parliament today.
