I think there's an evaporative effect where the median circa-2018 Twitter lurker has moved away from text-based social media and onto TikTok or Reels. Also, though we'd never admit it, the Bsky contingent is made up of people who Post out of sheer enjoyment, so there was less holding them to X.

Personally I cannot fathom the amount of shame I'd feel if my driving caused a robot to honk at me. I'd contemplate hanging up my keys for good. But true Bad Drivers? They persevere.

Anyways, it's nice to have a first person experience that let's me immediately reject the idea that these cars are being meaningfully controlled remotely.

My first ride Waymo ride was in Phoenix last year. We were in the middle lane of a 3 lane, 4 40mph stroad when a van tried to change lanes into us. The Waymo immediately swerved into the open lane on our right, and then even honked at the van!

This is also an argument in favor of harshly punishing information sources that get things wrong. If your source isn't exposed to negative feedback for incorrectness, find a new source. A Poster should be Followed based not on their best skeets, but by their worst.
We need to start thinking about informationβs value being decision-centric. what makes outlets like Financial Times so good is that the model reader is, well, a financial decision-maker. Whereas other papers cater to someone whose only purpose is a nebulous βbeing informed.β

The prospect of even a minor victory in mlps feels like a big Exhale moment for society. The world in which Decent People lose or stalemate that battle is much darker than the reality we live in.

Gaming doesnβt count as screen time. Gaming is books. Unless itβs on your phone - that is screen time. Movies are books unless they are Marvel, who produce screen time. Television is screen time.
