There are no benefits that have ever been explained to me that are worth the harms this technology is already causing. Not *remotely*. There should be devastating social and criminal consequences for those who created and use it. That should not be an extreme position.

I’m aware of the argument that you can’t put the genie back in the bottle, but I would say that you can, if it’s a wholly pointless and unnecessary genie that nobody actually asked for or needs. Just don’t use the genie. Shun and mock any loser-ass dork who does. Tell the genie to get fuuuuuucked 👍
