Ngl America casually abandoning Afghanistan and leaving billions of dollars of advanced weaponry behind for to taliban to seize seemed bad. Seeing the taliban using those weapons to direct action against Iran has me making up my own conspiracies.

I appreciate this discussion but let’s not muddy the water for why people are leaving Twitter. The owner and CEO of Twitter is literally spreading fascist rhetoric and intentionally platforming white nationalist concerns while opening up the algorithm to amplify the same. That IS NOT going on here.
For all the people telling everyone to stop expecting better moderation, that the focus is on tech etc: the only reason most of the people are here is because of broken moderation on Twitter. The tech means nothing without a moderated platform. It is the only feature most care about at this point.
