Traitors. So good. But possibly the least helpful bit of scheduling in modern history. How am I supposed to convince over tired kids they can watch it on catchup without hearing spoilers at school 🤯

Rather than unlocking UK community power, successive govts' digital policies have been focussed on Silicon Valley-style success.

100% The reason AI doesn’t help productivity 😬
Writing before the internet took ages because you had to visit the local library to do research. However, the internet is so distracting that writing still takes ages.
It's like that library is run by your mates, newsreader Peter Sissons, your favourite bands, Laurel & Hardy, and some daft cats.

Kids away on a school trip. Kidmin pressure off? Nope. That Duo Lingo streak won’t preserve itself. 🙄

This would be a great introduction to the scientific method for kids.
Not Japan-related, but since we all need a distraction from The Horrors, Takaya Suzuki points out a study that examined 408 sleeping cats and found the majority (65%) curl leftwards.

I'm not sure how useful this information is, but...it's yours now.

The Assembly on ITV is such a tremendous bit of telly. The emotion the group gets from their interviewees is quite something.

The Assembly review: The only show in which an interview with Danny Dyer could move you to tears - in the right way
As a middle-aged man with some 'life experience' behind him, I tend to cry at the drop of hat. And let's say there were a lot of titfers being spilled during ITV's new celebrity interview show The Ass...

Wonder Panic.

A brilliant phrase that sums up so much about AI. I didn't know where it came from until this week. H/t to artist Alan Warburton, you should check out his video: theodi.org/news-and-eve... a brilliant thought piece on what AI means for the creative industries.

For the love of, well simplicity, can we have a standard for parental controls? Preferably accessible via API with super secure access. It’s so frustrating having to dig around in endless menus on dozens of platforms to try and provide a vaguely safe environment for the small ones in the household.

Let's not forget this is the UK, so driving rain and sleet within hours is also just as likely.
