Here is my list of divisions, all business, and I have some spoilers for the future. Montreal and D.C. don’t make it to 2030.

It's not enough for the sports community on Bluesky to grow. Everyone who doesn't like sports should be kicked off it as well.

People would have cared a lot more if Miami didn’t have just all time toxic vibes radiating off them like the plague imo
The greatest player of all time is wrapping up the best season in MLS history and virtually everyone — from league diehards to general American sports fans to the broader soccer world — just straight up doesn't care. This is (a) sociologically interesting and (b) an utter catastrophe for MLS
Looks like Messi has locked in the golden boot along with the MVP award for 2025. What a historic season

I've gotten confirmation of this - Argentina vs. Puerto Rico is being relocated OUT of Chicago due to ongoing upheaval caused by ICE, National Guard.

Albiceleste will stay in Leo Messi's backyard (metaphorically) for both of this month's matches
Mailbox: Event promoters say that the friendly between Argentina and Puerto Rico for Oct 13 has been moved to Ft. Lauderdale for 10/14

No notice on socials or website from promoters or AFA.

Tickets remain on sale at pretty astronomical prices on Ticketmaster's website

This is a great piece. The rise of Bari Weiss is a crystalline example of how thoroughly American meritocracy has been corrupted into a form of courtcraft and a spoils system where mediocrities are rewarded for telling the wealthy and powerful what they want to hear.
I wrote about the ascendance of Bari Weiss from a hack columnist to media royalty, and what it means for the future of CBS News.

Rapids are an order of magnitude better with Bassett as an 8 and an actual winger on the wing but for whatever reason Armas has spent the whole stretch run playing Bassett as a winger and the Rapids are going to miss the playoffs because of it.
90+3 Yapi through ball to Bassett, Cabral denies him off his line. Where was this earlier tonight?

Jesus Christ. DHS has held this guy in the hospital handcuffed to a bed and under constant guard for over a MONTH without ANY warrant or even ANY steps taken towards putting him into the removal system!

Holy hell. DHS just openly stated that its agents use “reasonable suspicion” to make ARRESTS. This is blatantly unconstitutional. The Supreme Court is clear that you need probable cause to arrest someone, as opposed to stop them to ask them a question or two. This is huge b/c…

Not a soul in the entire New York Red Bulls organization feels a modicum of pride for the jobs they do, we’ve seen it on display since 2019.
Emil Forsberg: "I think everyone coming in this week felt the disappointment. We have to show a reaction in the last two games. It's about pride. We have to put pressure on ourselves to win these games." #RBNY

Really grappling with the fact that absolutely none of the accolades that the New York Red Bulls won actually matter because the club so clearly didn’t want to be that successful in its roots. #rbny

Hugo Ekitike is a superstar but that is the most stupid red card in the history of association football.
