seemed obvious at the time, but if anyone's curious in 2013 we got official confirmation the jump-between-skyscrapers map is a matrix reference. if the movie came out a year later we wouldn't have gotten this level

No one should have to face such threats.

It would’ve been nice if Greene had realized this before she amplified and endorsed calls for executing Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.

Yesterday was the 24th anniversary of my Halo review on GameSpot. (And the video review where I'm *clearly* uncomfortable being on camera.)

Not only is this easily the best of the Xbox launch games, but it's easily one of the best shooters ever, on any platform.

He is few critics’ idea of a respectable auteur, but his work is more consistently progressive than any other comic-book material today.

Yeah, this is my hope. That AI isn't making us stupider it's showing us how stupid we have always been. If you read a lot how can you relate to someone who reads never?
As young people are reading less and relying on bots more, Columbia professor John McWhorter explains why the wrecking ball of AI doesn’t keep him up at night:
Why I’m Not Freaking Out About My Students Using AI
Young people are reading less and relying on bots, but there are other ways to teach people how to think.

I'm such a product of my times that I have to spend active energy to make sense of the effort to preserve the past. My emotional levels are hostile at holding back progress and neutral about keeping old goods. Pretty sure that is an exploitable condition.
