most deviously targeted part of this is the millennial transfem is clearly getting her ass carried in cuphead by her quirked up ambiguously transitioned furry artist phenotype partner. i know their redmond rambler smells like potpourri & they "just dont really feel like going out much these days"
Let me just say that Valve really knows their audience by picking these two as poster children for the Steam Machine:

I've been doing this, but on insta. I forgot to crosspost the first couple of days so it never happened here.

This has been an... update.

every tiny crumb that leaks out is a career ending bombshell and we’re all just supposed to go on with our lives while our elected representatives shrug and tell us there’s nothing to be done about the president’s involvement in a child sex trafficking operation

Already replied but RT’ing for the sample size.

Body horror
Sci-fi/Cosmic horror
Paranormal horror
Found Footage (I know 🥴)
Splatterpunk
Natural horror
Folk horror
Psychological horror
Slashers
Religious horror
If you had to narrow the horror subgenres down to the ten most important, what would they be?

So yeah, Disco Elysium! In terms of visual novels masquerading as isometric RPGs I think I’d only need this and Kentucky Route Zero, at least for the next decade or so.
As soon as you think you’re gaming what you want out of it, it sneers and slaps you across the face. A bunch of Estonians decided to make a game of colonial death rattles and you, an American, are not going to measure up.

The first two days are still hard clay but once it’s starts unfolding itself 🤌

The annoying part is that many of its best critiques are lodged behind huge spoilers that would absolutely affect gameplay, if you’re at all politically minded. It’s why, I think, both wikis are deliberately obscure.
Adrift, desolate, surviving. Even those thriving are doing a very bleak version of it. A perpetual sense of sharp rocks and halitosis. Maybe something to focus on intensely for 6 hours at a time to feel satiated, narratively. In small pieces it’s a real mood killer.

Finally finished it. That’s top 5.
Should scrap it all and try again
Disco Elysium players! I have just started day 2 and I am struggling to “have fun”. It is a nasty and depressing place and I seem to have built an idiot. Or maybe he would always be an idiot. It is a shudder-inducing vision of A Future and it’s not very fun. Does it get fun?

The possibilities for malicious compliance here are astronomical. Shoppers should be hunted and ambushed with questions
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

That “would mark one of the largest single-quarter losses for a tech company in history.”

I do not like the idea of a Krogan Civil War considering the end of ME3 put the women in charge exactly to interrupt the cycle of destruction and bullshit the Krogran put themselves through after the Genophage. Krogan prosperity seemed like a much more interesting challenge to depict. Alas,
