Literally just lectured about this!

In the late 1960s, air quality was so bad in several cities they had to turn on the street lights during the day so drivers could see. And yeah, the Cuyahoga River was so polluted it literally caught on fire.
Oh, I don’t know. Our rivers no longer catch on fire and our air is far less poisonous than it used to be, even in smog bowls like Los Angeles. And I think those are good things.
If there’s no shale gas then there’s no shale gas, but I still think environmentalism is basically bad and politicians should focus more on material prosperity.

Meanwhile, Republicans have convinced themselves that the BBB policies kicking in next year will turn things around. It's going to be ugly.
The important thing to bear in mind as Trump's popularity begins to wobble is that the disastrous economic consequences of the things he's done in the first 10 months of this term have not even *begun* to hit. We've been coasting on the fumes of the economy he inherited and soon they'll be gone.
my wife and her entire team were fired over Zoom from their program manager jobs at a local nonprofit Seattle hospital this Spring because Trump just stopped paying Medicaid reimbursements. and this is a relatively affluent urban center

we're really not prepared for what's coming

The main scandal they push in the piece -- twice, in fact -- is that a non-voting delegate to the House texted with Epstein during a 2019 hearing and, uh, I'm not sure that is going to balance the scales against Trump's name popping up 1500 times in the Epstein emails. But good luck, guys!

To make unfounded accusations of fraud.

To persecute our residents.

To make a bogus case for excessive universal voter ID requirements while also not providing a federal ID (i.e. an unfunded mandate).

There is no good reason or legal rationale for this. Simply, it’s none of their gd business.
The DOJ has been pressing states since May for their registration rolls, which include sensitive personal information of every single voter, claiming the agency wants to ensure compliance with federal voter laws. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

The cops must hate ICE (at least these ones) because they'd never arrest one of their own for a crime against a woman or girl
An ICE employee was among 16 men arrested after trying to solicit a minor for sex in Bloomington, Minnesota, police say

"When he was arrested, he said, 'I'm ICE, boys,'" Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said during a press conference. "Well, unfortunately for him, we locked him up."

The margin was veto-proof. I suppose DJT could hope that Johnson adjourns Congress and then tries for a pocket veto or something, but that would just quadruple the uproar. So, I think he'll just sign it.
Do you think congress will be willing to stand up to a veto?

Okay, people need to think about what this entails. There are TONS of docs and redacting them is painstaking. And destroying actual evidence isn't like just walking files to the incinerator. And there are thousands and thousands of loyal DOJ and FBI staff who would rat out something like that.
I don't trust anyone in the Republican House. I suspect they know there's zero chance Trump will be on any document they just voted to release. They know Bondi and busy bees at DOJ redacted his name from everything. It explains why they stayed away from DC until they got the all clear to vote ✅

Does Trump really want the Epstein Files to become an even bigger deal? Is Trump underestimating how much Americans dislike wealthy pedophiles? Except for Higgins, not one Republican in Congress today wanted to have Epstein's name to be attached to their names and political careers.
