Disappointing, John Julius. Disappointing

Still, one of the Crackers does include this 11th century poem, which is genuine, and which I will never tire of sharing, because it will never age

Suggestion for all those in England who want to rejoin the EU - get your MP to support a Scottish independence referendum, and watch how quickly and enthusiastically we join the EU, and the benefits we accrue. That would put *enormous* pressure on Brexit in England.

I am starting to wonder if we may have passed the point where the needle can be moved by displays of surprise, shock & performative pearl-clutching at the suggestion that Farage might somehow, deep down, be a secret racist & white supremacist.
On Nigel Farage's racism, of course it is possible that someone can believe one thing when they're a teenager and something completely different when they're an adult.

But where is the evidence that has happened in this case?

Instead all of the evidence points in the complete opposite direction
Nigel Farage Is a Racist
The media is refusing to state the most bleedingly obvious facts about a man whose entire career has been devoted to pursuing a racist political agenda

I am an SNP member and have voted SNP since 1975. In 2026 I will be voting SNP for Constituency vote and Scottish Greens for my List vote. If all Indy supporters did this then we could have a massive Indy majority in Holyrood in 2026.

Some of the people in this article have shared their recollections with me before - but on condition of anonymity. Coming forward now is an act of patriotism. Farage’s claim that it never happened is the opposite.

A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

That's who you've joined.

Labour will be delighted by this. They will take it as an indication that they are winning.

English Exceptionalism.
Definition: The non-thinking hardwired mental auto reflex of English people designating that England=GB=UK all mean one of the same thing and no more than stating the obvious and the natural order of things.
The explanation for the reasoning behind this is rather sad.

Farage earns more than any other MP for NOT being an MP. He says it’s “obviously sad” that part of his constituency is the most deprived area in England.
But everything he’s ever done, said and wanted has made sure of it.
This is the whole country if he gets into power.
