”I don’t know why they would make this restriction; I don’t know of any indication to make this change,” Dr. Kotton said, adding that many people are still hospitalized and dying as a result of Covid. “This is a dark day in American medicine.”
SCOOP: FDA Approved the Novavax Covid shot, but with a catch: It's for people 12-64 who have an underlying condition.

That will make it harder for many, such as those caring for a sick loved one, to get the jab:

Not every uneducated, uninformed person is malicious. Many are victims of circumstance, capitalism, and fascism.

Calling every person who doesn’t understand the truth of the world “stupid” isn’t gonna get us out of this.

Having access to trustworthy experts and being able to parse what is and isn’t misinformation or disinformation is a PRIVILEGE. Education is a PRIVILEGE.

People aren’t “stupid” because they can’t do this. And if you think you’ve never fallen for propaganda you’re lying to yourself.

So, you might be wondering: does it matter if Covid shots are recommended? Yes, yes it does.

1. Insurance won't cover them if they're not recommended. That's a HUGE challenge for a lot of people.

2. If more people skip the shots, manufacturers will make fewer doses, making them harder to find.

Republicans have just proposed defunding Planned Parenthood nationwide.

In doing so, they are telling women and people across the country that our healthcare doesn’t matter and that we are undeserving of care.

It’s time to stop this bill in its tracks.

Security’s losing control. Because when the government wages war on the poor, the poor fight back.

I wrote about this a bit in my last book but it really shakes me that a defining feature of this catastrophic era is that we just keep going to work. We work through pandemics, we work through natural disasters, we work through economic calamity, we work through coups, we work, we work, we work.

It's amazing how normalized hospital acquired infections have become. We don't even expect infection prevention and control to be able to get the job done anymore.

Most people treat public education as free childcare, which they then also somehow hate being funded, and teachers get treated like garbage in this country, so I think it’s fair to require kids not bring at least a few contagious plagues to the poorly ventilated building they spend 8 hours a day in.

Therese lives with #MECFS and is unable to work full-time. Without Medicaid, she'd be forced to pay $4,000 more each year for basic healthcare expenses. If Therese didn't have Medicaid, she would get sicker and more disabled.
