i am going to put a finer point on this: executive orders are not laws. and they certainly are not royal decrees. they are interpretations of existing law for the purposes of enforcement. the fact that so many people are treating them as laws is actually driving me a bit insane.
i mean, the president's executive order isn't a goddamn law! as far as this doctor is concerned, who cares what the president says!
A New York City doctor said he will continue providing gender-affirming treatments to his patients younger than 19 despite President Donald Trump’s executive order aiming to ban such care.

I was yesterday years old when I learned that “condominium” is an 18th century word. It’s con-dominium (“shared dominion”) not condo-minium. You’re welcome!

A high school valedictorian, a BSE and MSE from Penn, and now a martyr. The system really does seem broken.

You should be able to go to your local Democratic Party headquarters and get help with anything you need help with. Don't have a printer and need to print out a form? We gotcha! Need help applying for a passport? We gotcha! Need a bathroom or a sandwich? We gotcha!

I'm not kidding in the least.

Just using this once again to push for @contesteveryrace.bsky.social
And the next time one of you starts to say "but they voted for it" about someone in a super gerrymandered state, I want you to remember that I had 25 local races on my ballot where I had republicans running unopposed.

Unsurprising republicans swept every race.
I've said it before, I'll say it again:

We are not a 50/50 country. We are a gerrymandered and voter suppressed country. Should we ever resolve those issues (...), then, perhaps, we'll know the actual extent of our political divisions.

Just reposting this content one more time. NC Supreme Court seats are elected; so yes the entire House came down to one local seat or two. If we’d won the NC Supreme Court, the Dems would have had a House majority.
The final House results have now landed as 220-215 for the GOP. That means the House majority came down to the 3 NC seats the GOP flipped thanks to its brand new gerrymander.

And that gerrymander hinged on NC's supreme court flipping in 2022.
