I am aware of reports of another killing at the hands of federal agents in Minnesota.

These deaths are tragic. There is no reason American streets should be occupied by a paramilitary force.

I am fighting to get them out of our communities. This cannot stand.

62 years ago today, the states ratified the 24th Amendment, eliminating discriminatory poll taxes.

The right to vote is sacred—we must protect voting rights for all Americans.

Absolutely disgusting and shameful. This baby should be home with his family, not in an ICE detention facility.

The Trump administration’s cruelty knows no bounds, targeting a preschooler instead of the violent criminals they claim to be removing.

The child & his father must be released.
ICE just used a 5-year-old boy as bait, forcing him to knock on his own door so they could arrest his father.

Trump, ICE and CBP don’t see these families as people, and that’s exactly how they’re treating them.

President Trump's Department of Justice finally admitted what we knew all along.

DOGE mishandled Americans’ private information and shared Social Security data.

This is unacceptable and illegal, and those responsible must be held accountable.

🚨CT Weather Alert🚨

A strong winter storm is forecasted to impact Connecticut Sunday–Monday, with potential a foot or more of snow & hazardous travel conditions.

Please remain aware of weather changes and prepare accordingly.
Winter will still be in full swing after this next system expected Friday through Monday (January 23-26) that will bring cold, snow, and icy conditions.

The latest outlook shows the cold weather will hang around in the East through the month. February also looks to start out cold.

Today should have been the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, affirming that all women are entitled to choose what is best for them, wherever they live.

Instead, for millions of Americans, abortion access is now unequal, unreliable, and unsafe.

This injustice cannot stand.

These people have worked hard to become citizens of our country - and they did it the right way. They take pride in becoming Americans. Now President Trump has pulled the rug from under them.

This is shameful. Naturalization ceremonies must resume immediately.

ICE must be reined in.

There must be accountability for the countless abuses, acts of violence, and lawless behavior we have seen on our streets.

After one year in office, Trump hasn’t helped hardworking families.

Instead, his administration is gutting healthcare, worsening the cost-of-living crisis, & slashing critical federal programs—all the while handing out tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy & enriching his own family.

Instead of "running simulations" how about you run to a grocery store?
Brooke Rollins is still at it!

"We had run almost 1,000 simulations, and between $3 and $4 is a fair number if you can have access to that food. I just saw new numbers that were run: a full day, meaning 3 full square meals and a snack, is about $15.64."

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we celebrate the dream of Dr. King by carrying on his fight for justice and equality.

His struggle for civil rights continues to inspire our work for a more free and just country—day after day.

I’m proud that over $1.1 million in federal funding will support the hiring of more firefighters & life-saving training in Middletown.

Firefighters need full staffing & resources to keep our communities safe & I’ll continue to fight for more funding for CT’s first responders.

There should be zero tolerance for any statement praising Hitler from a government employee.

This should not be controversial. Fire him. Immediately.

Big corporations and billionaires made out like bandits last year thanks to Trump's tax bill while price gouging Americans.

These companies don't need more handouts. Congress must pass my No GOUGE Act and protect American consumers.
January 15, 2026 at 8:05 PM
Prices in America are soaring and President Trump is giving big corporations the green light to keep costs high.

I am honored to fight greedy corporations alongside @repangiecraig.bsky.social & @ocasio-cortez.house.gov with our No GOUGE Act.

After national outrage, Sec Kennedy bowed to pressure to reinstate $2 billion in life saving grants.

I hope this reversal serves as a lesson learned. Congress holds the power of the purse, & the Secretary must follow the law.
Last night, Robert Kennedy Jr gutted addiction & mental health grants, immediately cutting off access to overdose prevention, peer recovery services, & mental health support across the nation.

This will cost lives. Congress must enact full-year legislation that protects this funding.

Why is DOJ investigating Renee Nicole Good’s wife and not the agent that killed her?

Killing her wasn’t enough--now they want to smear her name and her widow’s.

The prosecutors who resigned rather than enable this cruelty have kept their honor--Secretary Noem has none.

My mother worked in the sweatshops of New Haven. My parents encouraged me to get a good education so I could have a better life.

Now Trump is closing off that path for millions of Americans by dismantling public education.
