This is an irresponsibly favorable profile of RFK Jr, painting him as a vaccine skeptic rather than what he is: fervently anti-vaccine. Whether the reporter caved to pressure from RFK Jr or is so ignorant of science he doesn’t understand how many will come to harm bc of him, this is shameful. +

At about 12:30 there was almost no line to vote at the SPJST lodge in Houston's Shady Acres. That said, it was pretty busy with a nearly constant flow of voters in and out.

Today my @nytimes.com colleagues and I are launching a new series called Lost Science. We interview US scientists who can no longer discover something new about our world, thanks to this year‘s cuts. Here is my first interview with a scientist who studied bees and fires. Gift link: nyti.ms/3IWXbiE

Bummed to hear that Pico's will be closing. I never ate there as frequently after they moved from their Bellaire location, but the food was always good. The cochinita pibil, soft shell crabs in season, chile en nogada, etc.
