There can't be any reasonable doubt now that Starmer was exactly the sort of person who would have readily let an establishment pedophile off the hook.

He quite simply does the bidding of those with more power.

Labour fought as hard as possible to keep the cap. They suspended MPs for wanting to lift it. They only changed their position because they were forced too.

Also, those kids aren't being lifted out of poverty. They'll still be in it, and it'll keep worsening because of everything else you allow.
Yesterday, Labour voted to lift children out of poverty. The Tories and Reform would leave them in poverty. Why?

Not to save money. Not to change behaviour. But for political reasons - with children paying the price.

Pat doesn't allow direct replies to this post because he knows his party has kept children in poverty until now for the exact same reasons. He and Labour are pathetic hypocrites

There’s no defence. He should go. He won’t.
Starmer forced to admit he knew of Mandelson's continued relationship with Epstein after the first convicton when he appointed him ambassador. Eek this is a shocker.

Badenoch has nailed him on this.

Morgan McSweeney, Tony Blair and Keir Starmer were aware Mandelson was connected to and acting for Jeffrey Epstein, and that Epstein was likely part of a pedo cabal. That they allowed him such access to control aspects of government means they should all be in prison.

In the light of Sir Keir Starmer confirming he was aware of Peter Mandelson's ongoing friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein before he was appointed US Ambassador, Reel Politik calls for his IMMEDIATE resignation and exile from public life. And it’s not a bit we’re doing this time

Labour will always be the party that promoted an associate of a convicted child-abuser. Epstein was convicted of child abuse in 2008, it wasn’t as though Mandelson’s links with him were a secret.

Labour had no red line.

It doesn’t care about protecting women and girls.

How on earth can Starmer continue as Prime Minister, having admitted he knowingly promoted a close, and ongoing, confidente of the world's most notorious child trafficker?

Lol, it's so over. This was your Sensible King. You left the Tories in power for an extra 5 years to make sure no one else was possible.
NEW: Keir Starmer has admitted that he knew Peter Mandelson had carried on a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein after his paedophilia conviction when he made him US ambassador

The admission came as Starmer confirmed a criminal investigation is taking place at Prime Minister's Questions

Everyone's saying Starmer might be on more of a shooglie peg now... but how is McSweeney getting away with not being hoofed out within days?

This is his crisis as much as it's anyone. This was his idea! He insisted on Mandelson being made US ambassador.
The Mandelson scandal is turning into the biggest political crisis we've seen in years and I think there's a lot of political careers that (deservedly) are going to be ended by it

I'm not sure people appreciate quite what a blow to Starmer's government the acquittal of the Palestine Action protestors is. It both blows apart the whole proscription idea and demonstrates how out of touch they are.

If you leave your inherent political biases at the door, this was an absolutely catastrophic PMQs for Starmer.

The final bullet he pumped into his own foot came when he mounted a full-throated defence of Morgan McSweeney.

That risks coming back to bite him like a rabid dog.
Kemi Badenoch criticses Morgan McSweeny for pushing peter Mandelson as Ambassador, and asks if Starmer still has confidence in him

Keir Starmer, "Morgan McSweeney is a central part of my team, he helped me change the Labour party and win an election"

"Of course I have confidence in him"
