If you've ever wondered what Hubble and Webb were observing at any time, there's an easy way to find out! 👀

Space Telescope Live can show you what the telescopes are looking at now and what the next planned observation will be, all in one space (pun intended 😁): https://spacetelescopelive.org/

With all the madness going on, a one-holed worm thing with a no brain or any identifiable organs is quietly crawling somewhere on the ocean floor--and it is named after a churro. #xenoturbella_churro

SAINT PANTERA - medieval mech schematics. Pantera is captained by a knight rider who sits in the throne room, while a crew of seven enginesmiths from the same Catholic order keep the furnaces stoked. It's deadly, claustrophobic work.

A few months ago they let me walk around the Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex at night. Don't know if it was the desert rain, watching skyscraper-sized antennas swivel to catch signals from beyond Saturn, or just my fillings buzzing from the radio signals, but I had goosebumps all night.

The night sky looks steady. It's not. 💥

In the night sky, asteroids drift. Stars pulse and flicker. Distant galaxies flare when something dramatic like a supernova is happening inside them.

The Universe is constantly changing, even when our eyes can’t see it. 🔭🧪☄️

A breathtaking look at a dying star. This new image of the Helix Nebula is just in from JWST.

We've never seen this level of detail, as the star's remains stream back out to interstellar space. Our Sun will look something like this 7 billion years from now. 🧪🔭

Loud and clear: Curiosity and Perseverance are both back in touch with Earth following solar conjunction. They’re beginning to downlink data collected while the Sun was blocking the signal path between us and the Red Planet.

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun, and the seventh largest. It’s the only planet we know of inhabited entirely by robots.
