836 - News Flash: The Potion Is Orange
p1 - The 'scrub adventurer' team from 797, 784, 765, etc. (not so scrub at this point) are fighting the Greebles. (this strip is what happens between panels 3 and 5 in 833 if thats not clear from text) The See N Say Greeble is getting its left arm cut off, the right having been severed already, but the seemingly decorative segmented cables have partially detached and stretched out to reconnect the right arm and stab the glasses guy in the side. See N Say Greeble: ~-\#% ThE COW saYs... |[DIE3] Glasses Guy (slashing downward): Ha! SFX: stab! GG: Augh! p2 - Gwen, the healer of the group, sees her teammate's wound and retrieves a classic potion bottle from her pouch while blocking a strike from the whistle headed Greeble with her flanged mace SFX: ting! Gwen: CURT!! p3 (inset) - Gwen throws the potion SFX: toss! p3 - Curt (glasses guy) has in the meantime decapitated the See N Say greeble, and cut through the cable it used for the sneak attack. Its torso collapses backward. Curt catches the potion and gulps it down in one motion SFX: catch! Curt (pinkie extended): chug! Severed See N Say head: +hE HUman, tH3 HUmAn p4 C (excitedly regarding the nearly empty potion bottle): WHOA!! That's good! Is that pumpkin spice? C: Is this what pumpkin spice is? p5 - G blocks two attacks from the Whistle head, not really paying attention. Meanwhile, Fergus, the teams big guy, smashes the whistle head with a maul/sledgehammer. SFX: CRUNCH! Whistle: Tw~ee~t... SFX: clang G: Yeah, it's pumpkin spice. C: Wow! I see what all the fuss was about!

835 - The Clothes Make The Man
p1 - continuing from 835, the gacha Gun is secured by clamps at the head of a full-body casting mold. Greebles bring spare limbs to the mold. We can see from the cross section of the limbs that there's no bones or anything, just clear viscous gel. Influencer: So the gacha head is just the start! The body's constructed around it. p2 - A Greeble with a computer tablet for a head inverts a pair of jeans, dropping two spare legs into their place in the mold I: There's no internal structure, form is IMPOSED by equipment & rarer template items stay safely at base! Jeans: Flop p3 - The tablet Greeble pulls a lever that opens a slime reservoir, causing goo the color of Greeble inner gel to flow down onto the almost-complete gun head Greeble in the mold. We can see a few organ-like items scattered in the chest cavity. The teapot head looks on excitedly I: Let's Fugkin GOO!! Goo: GLORP p4 - The Greebles have fitted their gun-headed compatriot with gun hands and a "Boss" sash like mayors wear in cartoons. They are tossing it up in the air like it won the big game. I: Huh, I thought the Ipad guy'd be in charge. Ipad Guy: -~//||#%_&# Linux taBL3+. I: Oh, that makes sense.

834 - Luck Be A Creature Tonight
p1 - Continuing from 833, the wounded Greebles limp down one fork of a 3-way tunnel intersection. Influencer (excited): With those losses, they'll need to hit up the spawn point. p2 - The group, shown as tiny silhouettes, walks a floating bridge of thin, 3 m wide squares toward a larger square of pavement holding a small drive-thru restaurant. Nearly identical squares of pavement with restaurants stretch on behind the first one. The pizza hut-style roofs stretch up and out of visibility, increasingly bare of roofing tiles as they rise. Light from the drive-thru windows spills out into the darkness. There are mutated cactuses in planter boxes. I: Their base is in the abandoned drive-thru complex? Or they just want me to get mixed up + lost... Smart, either way p3 - I is leaning back to pull the lever arm of an enormous slot machine labeled "precious BABY". The Greebles, now repaired, assist I in the pulling I: WOW, a gacha respawn!! Wait, [I] have to do it?? I: G-gulp! What'll they do if I pull a bum roll? p4 - The machine flashes and dispenses an oversized revolver handgun into the prize bowl. (the gun is drawn too big for the dispenser and there are a few vertebrae growing out of the handle that you can't see here cuz I messed up the composition!) The Greebles are freaking out in a good way. I: Hot Damn, A GUN!

833 - I Call the Creatures "Greebles" Due to All the Xtra Stuff on
p1 - In a large circular tunnel intersection, an Influencer with a jughead crown, selfie stick, and backpack addresses a group of humanoids whose heads are common noisemaking objects (Teapot, whistle, See N Say). They have 4 segmented cables in an 'X' running from their backs to a ring on their chests. They wear Y-front briefs, tennis shoes, and nothing else. Influencer: Hey creatures, I come in peace! I: Mind if I follow you around a bit? I: Make a lil stalk-u-mentary? p2 - The creatures (Greebles, as per title) wordlessly proceed down one of the dark tunnels, toward the end where it opens up into a bright area. I (addressing phone camera): Cool! Let's see where they go! p3- The Greebles charge a group of 4 distant adventurers (in silhouette). A telephone (old rotary-style) headed Greeble is spinning the earpiece around on its cord like a flail. I (eyes bugging out + biting nails): Yuh oh! Other humans! I: I didn't consider that part!! p4 - I is sitting on the ground behind a wall. Cartoony 'fight clouds' billow from the side, and related visual effects. SFX: BONK SFX: SMASH Unseen Combatant (presumably human): Why I oughta! I (scrolling on phone + looking glum): ... (there is an arrow pointing to the '...' word balloon with the text "this graffiti" and another "this 2") p5 - The surviving Greebles (teapot + phone), sporting severe injuries and carrying their(?) severed limbs, angrily confront I I (conciliatory gesture, 3 flying sweats): Hey guys, things woulda just got even more confusing if I was there, you wouldn't want that..

This batch of comics was meant to be "just for me", I'd do stuff I'd been wanting to without worrying much about making it funny etc. But, so many minor crises happened that I couldn't ever focus on it enough to have fun.

It would be annoying to play, but I would really like to see a dungeon crawler with a semi-realistic ecology, ie mostly ambush predators that you don't notice until they oneshot you. And little mutualistic detritivores that flee, leading you into ambush spots if you chase em

I stepped on a weird mushroom and its spores erased all my memories of the "zelda" franchise except for the octorock creatures. I don't remember pig guy or cool shape etc. If you mention zelda to me I will say "ah, yes, the octorock game"
